Photoshoot with Lana
Fri. June 4th 2010 1am
When you dabble in knitwear design and put out patterns, you are bound to put out pictures of your work. So far I have always done photography myself and it is really a learning curve for this amateur photographer. Today I want to give you a behind the scenes look. A model, a hair/make-up stylist, and an amateur photographer All of the models I have worked with in the past, are my friends. Most of the time, I will entice them with knitted goods, and they always are willing to work with me. Lucky me! For a photo shoot, somebody has to take care of hair and make-up. And again I am...

Photography with Patricia Emmert
Fri. October 10th 2008 6pm
The Spot While in Pittsburgh, I was fortunate enough to hook up with a talented photographer named Patricia Emmert. I had seen beautiful work of Patricia before, and always wanted to talk with her about her creativity and photography. My husband then told me about a documentary he had seen about a photographer who wanted to shoot some pictures of a village where illegal plants were grown. The photographer got over his fear, approached the...

Pondering photography with models
Fri. September 5th 2008 5am
Every now and then, I play around with my camera. Just for fun, a photo here, a photo there, and lo and behold, I may use it for my blog. I mostly take pictures of flowers, yarn, knitting projects and finished projects in which I myself model the garment. Not an easy task because nobody is taking my picture when I pose for the camera. It is just me, the camera on self timer and my beloved tripod. Nobody takes my picture, I do it all myself. Which is getting quite annoying so I have been thinking of using models in the future. Photo shoot with a model Last year I did some photography...
