Choosing the right picture

Last March, Jade Sapphire send me a box full of cashmeres and asked me to design a line for them. I of course was more than happy to oblige!

I have designed several pieces,  all samples have been knit up, and patterns are written out and send to the graphic designers.

After all this comes the part I kind of dread... photography. Until now I have been able to do it myself, using friends as models and I am the photographer.

This time around however, I am the model and my dear friend Jenni took the pictures. We set out last Sunday and started shooting away!

Narrowing it down

My friend Jenni did a fantastic job and I have lots and lots of pictures to choose from. Still, I have to make my final decision which photo to use for publication.

It is not an easy task and often times I cannot make up my mind! Maybe you could help me out?

Here are the Audrey Gloves:

Here are pictures of the Tara Gloves:

Here is a design with the Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply. I have yet to name this piece! But which photo to use?

And last but not least, here a cowl design with Mongolian Cashmere 4-ply. This one I still have to name yet.

I think they are all great pictures... but which one will be THE ONE that will published on the pattern? Oy... help me out here, please!

Thanks for your input and until the next entry!

My vote

Hey Nancy,Glad to hear that Jade Sapphire sent you some fun cashmere for you to design for! Love these designs! My vote:Audrey:3rd   , Tara: 3rd , Scarf: 3rd  , Cowl: 3rd, and you are so beautiful, as always, in the shots. Jenni did a good job. Miss your presence in the shop. It's been fun trying to keep up.I am glad to hear you are continuing on the creative roll of designing. Thanks for sharing,Ann

I know you've already

I know you've already chosen--I'm late to respond. But all your pieces are gorgeous! What a talent you are, Nancy!

Nancy,This is so cool!  Your work is beautiful.  My choices are: Audrey=3, Tara=2, scarf=3, cowl=3. We miss you in Portland, and we are so proud of you! Leah (and Helen and Suzannah)

which ones...

#3 for red gloves, #1 for grey Tara, #1 for eng mesh lace, and for the cowl I like #3 but think it should be cropped on top (the eyes distract from the cowl) <3

3, 1, 3, 3

3, 1, 3, 3

I'd go with third, second, third, and third. I feel strongest about the cowl shot: it shows off the design the best, by far. The way your eyes are cut off in the first shot looks a bit odd, and the second shot is too wide. Gorgeous designs, all of them!

Beautiful photos, beautiful designs and beautiful subject!

I choose 1st, 1st, 3rd and 3rd :)

Audrey 2nd; Tara

Audrey 2nd; Tara 1st; Mongolian 2nd; Mongolian 4-ply 2nd.
